Our Mission at Dusty Trails, LLC is to create a safe and fun opportunity for individuals to develop horsemanship skills while also learning to overcome challenges, conquer fears, work as a team, and develop a strong work ethic.

Academies are designed to work with riders of all ages and experience levels.  Each rider’s ability is evaluated in order to determine their unique level and placement into an academy.  From this point, we will challenge them to learn new skills, as well as improve upon existing skills.   

Fall Academies (typically run from August through September)

This academy focuses on proper riding techniques for competitive riding to include, but not limited to: barrels, poles, western pleasure, trail, keyhole, etc.

Winter Academies (typically run from January to March)

This academy focuses on proper riding techniques for competitive riding for trail challenge courses.

Spring Academies (typically run from April to May)

Encompass beginner, intermediate, and advanced riding academies

Summer Academies (typically run from May to August)

Encompass beginner, intermediate, and advanced riding academies. Camping academies are available in the summer and include an overnight camping trip (with horseback riding, swimming, and campfire cooking!) at the end of classes.

COST

Academies for young beginners: Basic horsemanship academies are $245 for six 90-minute lessons followed by a family fun night where friends and family are welcome to come watch academy participants demonstrate their skills. We will then gather around the campfire to roast hot dogs and s’mores. Special competition academies follow the pricing below.

Academies for all ages: $370. Cost includes six 2 1/2-hour lessons for $45/each followed by a seventh session which includes either an all-day outing, where we take academy participants to an off-site location where they will practice their skills in real world application, or a special event such as the Dusty Trails Horseshow where students compete and families can come watch. This seventh session is $100. Summer Camping Academy prices will vary.
