Cattle Drive

Join Dusty Trails, LLC in a rare opportunity to move cattle through the Halsey National Forest!

Schedule for the Day

  • 5:00 - Meet at Dusty Trails, LLC at 2617 Buffalo Bill Road.
  • 5:30 - Leave the stables to head to Halsey.
  • 7:30 - We will start out by crossing the Dismal River to drive the herd for approximately 6 miles through the Halsey forest to their destination.   
  • Lunch will be provided during the ride.
  • 2:00 - Load horses and head back to the stables.
  • 4:00 - Arrive at Dusty Trails, LLC.

We will provide your horse, saddle and  transportation to and from Halsey.  Space is limited.  

Bring your own horse - $100

Bring just your boots - $175

Horse Show Academy Open House

Horse Show Academy Open House

The Horseshow Academy is designed to work with riders that have some previous experience who are interested in competing in equine events.  We will introduce the rider to the various competitive activities as well as teaching them proper reigning technique, seat position, and nonverbal cues.  There are a total of six (6) sessions with each lasting 2.5 hours followed by opportunities to attend several Professional Horseshows in and around the area.

Enjoy a beautiful evening ride through scenic Ash Hallow State Park and Campfire dinner. This will be a relaxing and enjoyable one hour horseback ride with a great campfire supper to follow. The Camp Fire Supper is provided by Smokin' Hills from Arthur.  The dinner menu is.

Summer Hours Begin

Our Summer hours begin Memorial Weekend!  Our hours will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from Noon until 6:00 pm at Buffalo Bill State Historical Park (2617 N Buffalo Bill Ave, North Platte, NE).  These hours will go thru Labor Day.  Stop by and go for a trail ride!

Dusty Trails Wild West Town

Dusty Trails Wild West Town will be June 16, 17, 18 and 23, 24 & 25!  From 5:00 - 9:00.    The Wild West Town will be located at Scouts Rest Ranch - North of the Wild West Arena!  Things for all Ages to do...just a few:  horseback riding, wagon ride, petting zoo, fast-draw or sharp shooting, pan for gold at the Land Office, grab a Sarsaparilla at the Midnight Starr Saloon, come watch the Rhinestone Roper (includes entertainment with ropes, whips, knives, and guns!) THE FIRST WEEK.....the list keeps going!
